A five-member Russian delegation led by H.E. Dr Konstantin Mogilevsky, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education, Russian Federation, met the ICAR team led by Dr A. K. Nayak, DDG (Natural Resource Management) New Delhi to explore avenues of mutual cooperation.
The deliberations brought together senior ICAR leadership, with ADGs from Education, Horticulture, Extension, Fisheries and Crop Sciences, along with the International Relations team led by Dr. Naveen P. Singh, ADG (IR), ICAR.
The discussions focused on strengthening India–Russia collaboration in horticulture, floriculture, genetic improvement and biotechnology to address shared agricultural challenges.
Dr Mogilevsky expressed interest in exploring cooperation between ICAR and Nikitsky Botanical Garden–National Scientific Center, Russian Academy of Sciences, opening new possibilities for joint research, scientific exchange and knowledge sharing.
The engagement reaffirmed the commitment to building stronger India–Russia partnerships for innovative, resilient and future-ready agriculture.
