“Skill Development Training and Critical Input Distribution Programme” organized

The ICAR-Central Institute of Fisheries Education, Kolkata Centre organized the Skill Development Training Programme on “Aquaculture Technologies as Livelihood Options” at the Faculty Centre for Integrated Rural Development and Management, Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute, Narendrapur, West Bengal from 26th to 27th March, 2022.

Swami Shri Sarvalokananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Narendrapur & Administrative Head, IRDM F/c, RKMVERI inaugurated the programme.

Dr. Ravishankar C.N., Director & Vice-Chancellor, ICAR-CIFE, Mumbai and Dr. G.H. Pailan, Principal Scientist & OIC, ICAR-CIFE, Kolkata initiated the programme.

Dr. Suman Manna, Scientist, ICAR-CIFE, Kolkata Centre briefed about the management of water and soil for the sustainable aquaculture practices and also demonstrated the pH & Dissolved Oxygen Kit for the water quality parameters.

The programme was organized for 100 Fish Farmers of Sonarpur under the Scheduled Caste Sub Plan Programme.
