Skill Development Training Programme on “Scientific Backyard Poultry” @Bharat Ka Amrut Mahotsav

The ICAR-Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute, Goa and ICAR-Krishi Vigyan Kendra, North Goa jointly organized the three-day Skill Development Training Programme on “Scientific Backyard Poultry” from 9^th to 11^th March, 2022.

Speaking during the occasion, Dr. Parveen Kumar, Director, ICAR-CCARI, Goa underlined the scenario of poultry farming in Goa. The farmers' issues regarding availability of chicks and feed were also addressed by Dr. Kumar.

Shri H.R.C. Prabhu, Senior Scientist & Head, ICAR-KVK, North Goa, Goa urged the trainees for utilizing the opportunities and starting their own Poultry Enterprises.

The programme organized as a part of the “Bharat Ka Amrut Mahotsav” to commemorate 75 Years of India’s Independence registered participation by a total of 116 Poultry Farmers from Goa.
