Bee keepers Meet and training organized at KVK

 A farmer - scientist interaction cum Bee Keepers meet was organized at KVK in which bee keepers, vegetables growers and trainees of beekeeping course   participated.  An exhibition of honey and vegetables produced by farmers was also organized. Dr. V. N. Sharda visited the exhibition and interacted with vegetable growers and beekeepers and gave them valuable suggestions about quality, value addition and marketing of their products.  

In his address Dr. V. N. Sharda advised the farmers to increase their income through value addition and proper understanding of markets. . He shared his personal experiences with the farmers. He asserted that synergy among institutes and stakeholders from policy makers to farmers is imperative to achieve long term improvement in agriculture. Progressive beekeepers also shared their experiences with scientists and farmers.

 Dr. Sharda distributed certificates and kits to the trainees of the beekeeping course. Dr. Sharda also visited entrepreneurs trained by KVK Ropar.
