The 4th Convocation Ceremony of Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University, Pusa, was held with great dignity and grandeur in the esteemed presence of the Chief Guest, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and Rural Development.

On this occasion, Shri Chouhan inaugurated the newly constructed Vikramshila Hostel and the Aryavart International Guest House. He also released three key publications: Pusa Bihar: The Birthplace of Agricultural Research and Education, Diksharambh 2025, and a Textbook on Natural Farming.
In his convocation address, the Minister paid tribute to the historic legacy of Pusa, describing it as the sacred ground where agricultural education and research in India took root. He lauded the university’s notable contributions in areas such as litchi, makhana, and mushroom cultivation, and commended its efforts as a source of inspiration not just for Bihar but for the entire nation. He expressed confidence in the university’s capacity to transform the future of Indian agriculture.
The event was graced by several distinguished guests, including Shri Ramnath Thakur, Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare; Shri Vijay Kumar Sinha, Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar; Shri Maheshwar Hazari, Minister of Information and Public Relations, Govt of Bihar; Smt. Shambhavi, Member of Parliament, Samastipur; Dr. M.L. Jat, Secretary (DARE) & Director General (ICAR); Dr. Prem Lal Gautam, Chancellor Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University; Dr. P.S. Pandey, Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University; members of the Board of Management; and other dignitaries.
A total of 882 students were conferred with degrees during the ceremony, while 37 meritorious students received gold medals in recognition of their academic excellence.

All dignitaries present extended regards to the graduating students and commended the university’s leadership and achievements in agricultural education, research, and innovation reaffirming Pusa’s pivotal role in the advancement of Indian agriculture.
