A two-day national-level brainstorming session on “Implementation of National Education Policy in Agricultural Universities: Status, Challenges and Way Forward” was successfully held on May 27–28, 2025, at ICAR–National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, Hyderabad. The event was jointly organized by ICAR-NAARM, Education Division, ICAR, New Delhi, and BAERC, New Delhi.
Distinguished dignitaries present included Dr. R.C. Agrawal, Deputy Director General (Agri Education), Dr. Bimlesh Mann, Assistant Director General, Dr. Gopal Lal, Joint Director, ICAR-NAARM, and officials from BAERC.

The program featured five technical sessions focusing on key themes such as NEP implementation strategies, VI Deans’ Committee recommendations, vocational education, and integration of natural farming into undergraduate curricula. Eminent experts chaired sessions and facilitated in-depth discussions.
The event concluded with a set of actionable recommendations aimed at curriculum reforms, faculty development, and stronger institutional linkages. These outcomes are expected to play a crucial role in building a more responsive, innovative, and future-ready agricultural education system aligned with the goals of NEP 2020.
The session brought together 110 participants, including Deans from State Agricultural Universities (SAUs), senior faculty members of ICAR-NAARM, and BAERC representatives.
