a-IDEA, ICAR-NAARM organised Immersion Programme on FPOs & Farmers with Start-ups

a-IDEA, Technology Business Incubator of ICAR-NAARM, Hyderabad organised FPOs/FPCs, Farmers, Startups Immersion Programme at Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh today with an objective to connect the FPOs and the farmers of Andhra Pradesh with the start-ups supported by a-IDEA.

The Chief Guest, Shri S. Dilli Rao, IAS, Collector, NTR district, Andhra Pradesh stated that linking FPOs and farmers with startups is the need of the hour and through this programme, FPOs and farmers are being benefited greatly.

Shri. N. S. Murthy, General Manager, NABARD, Andhra Pradesh stressed that linking FPOs and farmers with startups was a unique activity which would greatly benefit both FPOs and startups to run their respective business ventures and cater to diverse and larger segment of the farming community.

Shri Asha Kiran, CEO, Go Adharita Prakruthi Vyavasaya Darula MACS Ltd., Vijayawada and Shri U. Srinivas Rao, Youth Officer, NTR District addressed in the event and emphasized that the immersion program provides an ideal platform for the farmers to sell their produce to start-ups and build a strong value chain across the agricultural activities.

The start-ups presented their innovations, products, services and demonstrated its advantages. The event acted as an ultimate platform for networking between them for successful business transactions and for further collaboration.

About 18 start-ups and 30 FPOs and farmers from different places across Andhra Pradesh attended the programme.

Senior officials from NABARD, NGOs, CBBOs and officials from regional centre ICAR-CIFA and other reputed organizations graced the event.
