Vigilance Officers Training Concludes at ICAR-NAARM

Three-day Training Workshop for Vigilance Officers of ICAR Institutes was organized by ICAR-National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, Hyderabad from August 24-26, 2022 for 20 Vigilance Officers of various institutes of ICAR.

Dr. Ch. Srinivasa Rao, Director, ICAR – NAARM addressed in the valedictory session. He suggested the Vigilance Officers to take major role on Preventive Vigilance Mechanism rather than post vigilance activities. Further, he emphasized that the Vigilance Officers have to see that the process adopted in purchase and other developmental activities of the organization is in a transparent manner.

The programme was earlier inaugurated by Dr. G. Venkateshwarlu, Joint Director, ICAR-NAARM. In his inaugural address, he emphasized the role of vigilance officers in enhancing the status of ICAR Institutes.

The participations were sensitized on different vigilance management activities such as preventive vigilance, duties and responsibilities of vigilance officers, disciplinary procedures, recruitment process, RTI and purchase procedures etc.
