Capacity Building Programme on “Technology Demonstrations for Enhancing Resilience” organized

The ICAR-Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture, Hyderabad organized the Capacity Building Programme on “Technology Demonstrations for Enhancing Resilience” from 24^th to 25^th July, 2022. The Programme was organized by the Technology Demonstration Component of NICRA.

Inaugurating the Programme, Dr. Suresh Kumar Chaudhari, Deputy Director General (Natural Resource Management), ICAR underlined the pivotal role played by the NICRA in sensitizing about the climate change from farmers to the policy makers. The DDG highlighted the launching of the Climate-Resilient Programmes and Schemes-based on the experience from NICRA by many State Governments. The vital role played by the Krishi Vigyan Kendras and Village Institutions in the ground level sensitization was applauded by him.

Dr. V.K. Singh Director, ICAR-CRIDA, Hyderabad stated about the farming system typology-based approach instead of previously followed module-based approach, selecting the KVKs based on risk & vulnerability atlas of IPCC, 5^th Assessment Report, collaborations with NMSA and other Programmes, etc.

The Officials of ICAR Institutes, ICAR-Agricultural Technology Application Research Institutes and Krishi Vigyan Kendras participated in the Programme.
