An awareness programme titled ‘Will Antibiotics Stop Working? The Story of Superbugs’ was successfully organized for the students of Government Higher Secondary School, Kanubari today under the Remote Area Lecture Series sponsored by the Indian National Science Academy, New Delhi. The event was coordinated by the ICAR–National Research Centre on Pig, Rani, Guwahati, in collaboration with KVK, Longding, Arunachal Pradesh.
The programme included a series of technical lectures designed to enhance understanding among Class XI and XII students about the growing global threat of Antimicrobial Resistance and its potential implications for human and animal health.

To promote creativity and reinforce awareness, a pencil sketch competition on the theme “Antimicrobial Resistance Awareness” was also organized, drawing participation from 133 students. Prizes were awarded to the top three winners, along with ten consolation prizes, to recognize artistic expression and encourage scientific curiosity among the young participants.
The programme concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, celebrating the students’ creativity, active involvement, and growing interest in scientific learning and public health awareness.
A total of 202 students actively participated in the event, demonstrating keen interest and enthusiasm.
