The ICAR-National Institute of Natural Fibre Engineering and Technology, Kolkata organized an Industry-Institute Interface Meet on “Vision@2047” today.

Delivering his address, the Chief Guest, Dr. S.N. Jha, Deputy Director General (Agricultural Engineering), ICAR stressed on making the collaboration between the Industry and Institute in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things for the solution of prevailing problems in the natural fibres.

Dr. R.C. Maheswari, Former Vice-Chancellor, Sardarkrushinagar Dantiwada Agricultural University, Dantiwada, Gujarat and Chairman, RAC highlighted the importance of database on the different natural fibres, human resources, Entrepreneurs and Industrial Experts related to natural fibres for the drafting of the Vision 2047 Document.
Shri Debashish Roy, Director General, Indian Jute Mill Association; Shri R.K. Lohia, CMD, Lohia Corp. Ltd.; Shri S.K. Chandra, Director, Hooghly Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. and other Industrialists & Entrepreneurs from West Bengal and the other parts of the country participated in the Meet.
Earlier, welcoming the dignitaries, Dr. D.B. Shakyawar, Director, ICAR-NINFET, Kolkata briefed about the various technologies developed at the Institute. He also emphasized on the collaboration between the industry and Institute for the benefit of the natural fibres stakeholders.
