The ICAR-Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute, Jodhpur, Rajasthan organized the “Virtual Concluding Review Meeting of NICRA - Technology Demonstration Component (TDC)” today.
The Chief Guest, Dr. V.K. Singh, Director, ICAR-Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture, Hyderabad emphasized on initiating the new interventions models having direct bearing effect with the climate changes. He also stressed on improving the soil organic carbon status, efficient recycling of biomass and efficient use of the soil health cards.

Dr. S.K. Singh, Director, ICAR-ATARI, Jodhpur, Rajasthan accentuated on the need for devising strategies of mitigation due to change in temperature, rainfall pattern, draughts and floods. He also stressed that adaptation to the climate changes are one of the utmost requirements for sustaining the production and productivity of various production systems, especially in the Arid Zone.
The main objective of the Meeting was to discuss the Significant Achievements of the First Phase and Action Plan for next Phase of the identified vulnerable Districts of Rajasthan and Haryana.
Around 55 Officials from the various ICAR Institutes and Krishi Vigyan Kendras attended the meeting.
