The ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil & Water Conservation, Dehradun, Uttarakhand organized One Week Virtual Training Programme on “Online-based Soft Skills and Application of Virtual Resources in Research and Development” from 25th June to 1st July, 2021.
In his inaugural address, Dr. M. Madhu, Director, ICAR-IISWC, Dehradun stressed on the need and importance of the virtual mode of R&D activities and the needs of capacity building to conduct and manage virtual training & demo programmes along with the technical interaction & feedback activities, particularly, in the prevailing conditions of COVID-19 Pandemic. Dr. Madhu also highlighted the vision of utilizing the digital platforms for information dissemination.

The participants were apprised about the available online tools and techniques that are useful for effective research & development activities, training, workshop, teaching, etc., during the programme.
A total of 205 Scientists, Technical Officers, Administrative Staffs and other Staff Members of the Institute and its 8 Research Centres located across the country also virtually participated in the training programme.
