The ICAR-Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute, Zone - II, Jodhpur, Rajasthan organized the Brainstorming Session on “Strategy for coping scenario of drought & flood in Rajasthan” today.

In his address, Dr. S.K. Singh, Director, ICAR-ATARI, Jodhpur stressed on the need of implementation of the proper extension approaches along with a contingent plan by each Krishi Vigyan Kendra and preparing a policy document to overcome such a situation.
Dr. D. Kumar, Secretary, Indian Arid Legumes Society and Former PC, Arid Legume, ICAR-CAZRI, Jodhpur urged for ensuring prompt preparedness to deal with the worst situation that the climate can cause in Rajasthan. He accentuated that the animal based farming system and diversified farming system along with agri-horti-pasture-forestry system will lead to sustainability.
The programme registered participation by 44 KVKs of Rajasthan.
