“Farmers’ Goshthi and Seminar on Food and Nutrition for Farmers” organized @Bharat Ka Amrut Mahotsav

The ICAR-Central Soil Salinity Research Institute, Karnal, Haryana organized a “Kisan Goshthi-cum-Training Programme for a group of 28 Farmers from the Village Habri, Kaithal” today.

In his address, Dr. P.C. Sharma, Director, ICAR-CSSRI, Karnal briefed about the role of ICAR and ICAR-CSSRI in securing the food and nutritional security and the way the Central and State Government policies have enabled such initiatives.

The Invited Seminar on “Crop improvement for stressful environments, and food and nutritional security” was also held during the occasion.

A total of 51 scientists participated in the Seminar.

The programme was organized as a part of the “Bharat Ka Amrut Mahotsav” to commemorate 75 Years of India’s Independence.
