Online Stakeholder Consultation Meeting on Policy Drafts for Kulagar Farming and Cashew Traceability Organised at ICAR-CCARI, Goa

ICAR–Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute, Goa, organized an Online Stakeholder Consultation Meeting today to discuss and seek feedback on two policy paper drafts prepared by the Institute: “Policy Framework for Sustainable Revitalization of the Kulagar Farming System in Goa” and “Policy Framework for Cashew Traceability in the State of Goa.”

The consultation brought together around 20 stakeholders, including farmers associated with Goa’s agricultural and horticultural sectors. The participants provided valuable suggestions and shared their perspectives on strengthening the Kulagar farming system, improving sustainability and profitability, and establishing an effective traceability framework for Goa’s cashew sector.

The suggestions and recommendations received during the consultation will be carefully examined and incorporated in the revised policy drafts. The exercise is expected to contribute towards developing practical, evidence-based and stakeholder-oriented policy frameworks for the sustainable development of Goa’s Kulagar farming system and cashew value chain.
