Rathindra Krishi Vigyan Kendra became the hub of farmer-focused innovation as the Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan (VKSA) entered a new phase today, bringing together FPCs, SHGs, and community groups for felicitation of their contributions during the last Pre-Kharif campaign, alongside active discussions on planning for the upcoming Pre-Rabi VKSA.
Dr. P.K. Ghosh, Vice-Chancellor, Visva-Bharati, emphasised the importance of evidence-based planning and technology adoption to ensure that the upcoming Rabi campaign strengthens income, productivity, and climate resilience for farmers.

Dr. Pradip Dey, Director, ICAR-Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute, Kolkata, lauded the role of farmer organisations in taking forward the VKSA campaign and highlighted how such initiatives and convergence of institutions nurture farmer-led innovation and rural transformation in Birbhum and beyond.
As part of the programme, felicitations were extended to Green FPC (Illambazar), Birbhum Agro FPC (Dubrajpur), Nausuba FPC (Mollarpur), Nanoor Chandidas Cultural Society (Nanoor), Rampurhat-II Organic Farmers Producer Company Ltd. (Rampurhat-II), Kukhutia Chandipur Agro Producer Company Ltd. (Dubrajpur), and Bhumilakhi Agri Business Producer Company Ltd. (Khoyrasole).

The event also featured distribution of seeds and locally made low-cost incubators (500-egg hatching capacity at a time) to SHGs for promoting poultry-based income generation to strengthen farmer livelihoods.
The programme reflected both recognition of past efforts and strategic preparation for the Rabi season, aligning farmer institutions, extension agencies, and local innovators towards the larger vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.
