The fourth batch of five-day Training Programme on “Accrual Accounting” organized by the ICAR-National Rice Research Institute, Cuttack, Odisha from 20th to 24th September, 2021 concluded today.
Dr. A.K. Vyas, ADG (Human Resource Management), ICAR stressed on the competency development of the ICAR Personnel through positive thought, attitude and belief among the employees.
Dr. G.P. Sharma, Director (Finance), ICAR accentuated on the need of detailed understanding of the Accrual Accounting which plays an important role in efficient functioning of Institutes.
In his address, Dr. Dipankar Maiti, Director, ICAR-NRRI, Cuttack emphasized on the importance of acquiring knowledge, skill and aptitude of the administrative personnel for enhancing the performance of the Institutes.
Shri S.K. Pathak, Comptroller, ICAR-Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Izatnagar, Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh; stated on bridging the gap between the training needs and knowledge, skill and attitude.
The team of Deputy Directors (Finance) along with Shri V.R. Srinivasan, Comptroller, ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi and Smt. Sunita Arya, Chief Finance & Accounts Officer, ICAR-Central Arid Zone Research Institute, Jodhpur, Rajasthan clarified the participants’ doubts during the programme.
The programme was aimed at enhancing the efficiency, competency and enriching the knowledge, skills and developing the professionalism among the Finance & Accounts Officers, Administrative Officers and other Officers working in the ICAR Institutes and Central Agricultural Universities.
A total of 58 participants from 41 ICAR Institutes and One Central Agricultural University representing 22 States / Union Territories participated in the training programme.
