Dr. Trilochan Mohapatra, Secretary, DARE and Director General (ICAR) visited ICAR- Central Institute of Fisheries Technology today.
Dr. Mohapatra in his address, lauded the remarkable achievements of the Institute and highlighted the potential of fisheries technologies in raising overall fish production of the country. He urged scientists for quick transfer of technologies to the fisher folks, entrepreneurs and the stakeholders.
Shri Chhabilendra Roul, IAS, Additional Secretary (DARE) and Secretary (ICAR); Dr. Joykrushna Jena, Deputy Director General (Fisheries) and Dr. P. Pravin, Assistant Director General (Marine Fisheries), addressed the audiences.
Dr. Ravishankar, Director, CIFT welcomed the gathering and made presentation on recent achievements of the Institute.
Dr. Suseela Mathew, HOD, and Biochemistry & Nutrition Division proposed the vote of thanks. The dignitaries also visited the various research laboratories of the Institute.
