To collaborate and undertake the R&D, Technology Development and Extension Activities for the benefit of farming community, agro & allied industries, academia and society, the ICAR-Indian Institute of Soybean Research, Indore, Madhya Pradesh signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Prestige Institute of Engineering Management and Research, Indore, Madhya Pradesh today.
Dr. Nita Khandekar, Director, ICAR-IISR, Indore emphasized on the need for precision agriculture and machine learning modules for doubling the production. She also accentuated on the need for exchange of ideas and development of collaborative research projects between both the Institutes.
Dr. Davish Jain, Chairman, PIEMR, Indore accentuated on the lab-to-land programme. He also urged for working together on application and calibration of the technologies developed at PIEMR to have practical applicability at the farmers’ field.
Earlier, in his welcome address, Dr. Manoj Kumar Deshpande, Director, PIEMR, Indore stressed on the need of the collaborative programme for disseminating the technologies to the farmers.
The MoU was signed for entering into the long-term collaboration for undertaking the R&D, extension, consultancy and training activities to promote the Soybean growth and development in the country.
