Mass Awareness Campaign on “Organic Farming” organized

The ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil Science, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh and ICAR-Indian Institute of Farming System Research, Modipuram, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh jointly organized a Mass Awareness Campaign on “Organic Farming” today.

In his inaugural address, Dr. A.K. Patra, Director, ICAR-IISS, Bhopal emphasized on the soil health management including the crop residue management and organic nutrient management in the organic farming.

Dr. Azad Singh Panwar, Director, ICAR-IIFSR, Modipuram, Meerut underlined the importance of soil organic carbon in improving the soil health under the organic farming practices and importance of certification.

A total of 800 farmers, students, researchers and stakeholders virtually participated in the programme.
