The ICAR-Directorate of Knowledge Management in Agriculture and Informatics Publishing Ltd., (J-Gate) organized the “J-Gate@CeRA Regional Training Programme - 2019” at the National Agricultural Science Centre Complex, New Delhi today.

The programme was organized for the Nodal Officers of Consortium for e-Resources in Agriculture (CeRA) of the Northern Region.
The Chief Guest, Dr. Trilochan Mohapatra, Secretary (DARE) & Director General (ICAR) suggested the various ways to make the CeRA platform user-friendly. He also urged to find the means to improve and popularize the platform among the researchers and scholars.
Dr. R.C. Agrawal, Deputy Director General (Agricultural Education), ICAR briefed about the major achievements of CeRA. He also emphasized to extend the facility to the rural areas of the country.
Dr. Sanjeev Saxena, ADG (Intellectual Property & Technology Management Unit and National Agricultural Science Fund), ICAR opined to analyze the opportunity cost of the project.

Dr. Satendra Kumar Singh, Project Director, ICAR-Directorate of Knowledge Management in Agriculture He also mentioned that easy accessibility of CeRA has proved to be a boom for the people involved in agricultural researches as it saves both time and money.
Shri S.K. Joshi, Incharge, CeRA mentioned that till now, around 152 Institutes are utilizing the services of the consortium and a total of 25 Lakhs downloads have been registered.
Shri Sanjay Grover, CEO, Informatics Publishing Limited underlined about the various useful modules in the J-Gate CeRA. He also outlined about the advanced features that are helpful and useful for the participants.
A total of 42 Nodal Officers from ICAR Institutes and State Agricultural Universities of the Northern Region participated in the programme.
