The ICAR-National Institute of Abiotic Stress Management, Baramati celebrated its 11th Foundation Day with full zeal and craze today.
The Chief Guest of the occasion, Dr. Trilochan Mohapatra, Secretary (DARE) & DG (ICAR) applauded the initiatives taken by the Institute in a short span of time. Dr. Mohapatra also urged for moving further in both administration and research as well.
The programme was followed by the inauguration of the new Building of School of Edaphic Stress Management by the Director General. In this building, the state of art laboratory to conduct the cutting edge research in the area of edaphic stresses and their management in crop plant has also been developed. “Godavari Residency” (6 Type - 5 Quarters) at ICAR-NIASM Residential Complex, MIDC Baramati was also inaugurated by the Director General.
Dr. Trilochan Mohapatra; Er. M.K. Tilak, Chief Engineer WZ-II and Dr. Narendra Pratap Singh, Director, ICAR-NIASM also carried a Tree Plantation Drive at the premises of the ICAR-NIASM residential complex.
Shri Rajendra Pawar, Chairman, Agricultural Development Trust, Baramati; Shri Ranjan Kumar Taware, Chairman, The Malegaon Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana, Malegaon; Shri R.N. Shinde, Chairman & Managing Director, Tirupati Balaji Agro Products Pvt. Ltd., Someshwar Nagar and Shri Jaydeep Taware, Sarpanch, Malegaon (BK) Gram Panchayat, Malegaon were also present as the Guests of Honor for the occasion.
Earlier, Dr. Narendra Pratap Singh, Director, ICAR-NIASM delivered welcome address.
The Guests also released the Institute’s Publications namely Souvenir, Research Publications, Technology Bulletin, etc.
The farmers of Baramati were awarded also facilitated as the “Progressive Farmers” on the occasion.
The scientists, technical and administrative staff were recognized and felicitated with the best performer of the year Awards.
