Work Plan (2019-2023) signed between ICAR and Western Sydney University (Australia) to enhance cooperation in the field of agriculture research and education today, the 26th March, 2019 at Krishi Bhawan, New Delhi by Dr. Trilochan Mohapatra, Secretary, DARE & Director General, ICAR and Professor Ian Anderson, Director, Hawkesbury Institute for the Environment, Western Sydney University, Australia.




The uniqueness of the MoU is that the research collaboration is twined with Ph.D. Program benefitting Indian students. The University of Western Sydney is sponsoring about ten scholarships under this work plan. Major areas of research collaboration dwell upon stingless bee research, protected cultivation and soil and water use efficiency in agriculture.
Shri. Sushil Kumar, Additional Secretary (DARE) & Secretary (ICAR), Dr. A.K.Singh, Deputy Director General (Agricultural Extension), Dr. Anand Kumar Singh, Deputy Director General (Horticultural Science) other officials were also present on this occasion.
