Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, Union Minister of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare dedicated a Pillar depicting the history of achievements made by the ICAR-National Dairy Research Institute over the Years here today. The Union Minister was on his visit to the Institute for celebrating its Centenary Year - 2022 Celebrations.


During the occasion, Shri Tomar also inaugurated an “Oxygen Park” and planted a Peepal Tree. He also visited the Research Centre, Model Dairy Plant and various Advanced Research Laboratories of the Institute. Interacting with 1,200 Scientists, Staff Members and Students, the Union Minister urged for adopting 100 Villages of the District under the “Centenary Year” Programme to promote dairy farming in the rural areas.


Dr. Trilochan Mohapatra, Secretary (DARE) & Director General (ICAR) emphasized to focus on enhancing the Milk quality for meeting the international standards.


Dr. Bhupendra Nath Tripathi, Deputy Director General (Animal Science), ICAR; Dr. Shiv Prasad (Member) Agricultural Scientists’ Recruitment Board, New Delhi and Directors of the various ICAR Institutes also participated in the event.
Earlier, welcoming the dignitaries, Dr. Manmohan Singh Chauhan, Director, ICAR-NDRI, Karnal highlighted the achievements made by the Institute during the last 99 Years.
