ICAR–Central Institute for Research on Cotton Technology, Mumbai organized a Memorandum of Understanding Signing Ceremony today at the institute for collaborative research on ‘Design, Development and Implementation of Technical Rubber Composite Sheets for Rubber Dams and Pond/Canal Lining Material.’
The MoU was signed between ICAR–CIRCOT, Mumbai; ICAR–Indian Institute of Water Management, Bhubaneswar; and Indian Rubber Materials Research Institute, Thane. The collaboration aims to develop durable rubber composite sheets for application in rubber dams and pond/canal lining to support efficient water conservation and irrigation management.

Dr S. K. Jena from ICAR–Indian Institute of Water Management, delivered the welcome address and highlighted the importance of collaborative research in developing innovative materials for water management. He also presented an overview of the CRP on Water and explained the objectives of the initiative.
Dr Bharat Kapgate, Deputy Director, IRMRI and Dr Arjamadutta Sarangi, Director, ICAR-IIWM addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of joint research for sustainable water resource management.
The MoU was formally signed by the representatives of the three institutions.
