ICAR-Central Institute of Brackishwater Aquaculture, Chennai, observed Vigilance Awareness Week 2026 from 1 to 26 October 2026, with the theme “Probity for Prosperity”.
On 26 October 2026, the Vigilance Pledge was administered to all scientists, technical and administrative officers, and other staff members of the institute under the chairmanship of Dr M. Kailasam, Director, ICAR-CIBA.
On 27 October 2026, a special lecture on “Preventive Vigilance” was delivered to the scientists, staff and scholars of the institute. The session highlighted the importance of vigilance in government offices, its various dimensions and concepts, operational and administrative aspects, monitoring mechanisms, and measures to uphold integrity.
During the valedictory programme, Dr M. Kailasam, Director, ICAR-CIBA, outlined the key vigilance processes followed at the institute and appreciated the cooperation and support extended by staff members across all categories in ensuring the effective implementation of vigilance measures as an integral part of day-to-day administration.
