Under the Intensive Awareness Campaign on Balanced Use of Fertilisers coordinated by ICAR–Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute, Zone X, Hyderabad, extensive awareness and extension activities were conducted today across eight districts of Andhra Pradesh involving 8 Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs).
A total of 6 awareness programmes covering 218 farmers were organized, along with 3 training programmes benefiting 101 farmers. One Kisan Mela was also organized during the campaign. KVK scientists disseminated technical advisories and messages through WhatsApp and various outreach platforms, resulting in a substantial digital outreach of 1,23,703 farmers through WhatsApp, Facebook, X, and other social media channels.

In addition, 548 farmers were covered through direct physical contact and field-level interactions. Demonstrations on green manuring (2), biofertilizer use (17), and other balanced nutrient management practices (2) were also conducted to promote sustainable fertiliser use and soil health management.
Overall, the campaign generated a cumulative outreach of 1,24,251 farmer contacts through both physical and digital modes across the participating districts under ICAR–ATARI Zone X, Hyderabad. Under the Intensive Awareness Campaign on Balanced Use of Fertilisers coordinated by ICAR–Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute (ATARI), Zone X, Hyderabad, extensive awareness and extension activities were conducted today across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and Puducherry involving 72 Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs).
A total of 12 awareness programmes covering 593 farmers were organized, along with 4 training programmes benefiting 139 farmers. One Kisan Mela involving 128 farmers was also conducted during the campaign. KVK scientists disseminated technical advisories and messages through WhatsApp and various outreach platforms, resulting in a substantial digital outreach of 1,42,191 farmers through WhatsApp, Facebook, X, and other social media channels.

In addition, 995 farmers were covered through direct physical contact and field-level interactions. Demonstrations on green manuring (2), biofertilizer use (17), and other balanced nutrient management practices (3) were also conducted to promote sustainable fertiliser use and soil health management. Overall, the campaign generated a cumulative outreach of 1,43,186 farmer contacts through both physical and digital modes across the participating states under ICAR–ATARI Zone X, Hyderabad.
