3-4 December 2025, Hyderabad
The Maha Kisan Mela 2025 organized by Asian PGPR Society & Heartfulness Institute was successfully held at Kanha Shanti Vanam, Hyderabad on 3–4 December 2025, under the broader themes ‘Biological Solutions for Healthy Soil & Crops’ and ‘Digital, Social & Entrepreneurial Empowerment of Farmers’.
The event was inaugurated by Shri Tummala Nageshwara Rao, Minister of Agriculture, Government of Telangana, in the presence of key dignitaries including Shri Kodanda Reddy, Chairman, Telangana State Agriculture & Farmers Welfare Commission, and Shri D.R. Karthikeyan, Former Director, CBI, along with several senior officials and representatives from partner institutions.
The agenda included sessions on soil microbiome, natural farming, smart and regenerative agriculture, FPO empowerment, digital agriculture, drones, IoT solutions, and innovations for climate-resilient farming, accompanied by demonstrations and farmers interactions across the exhibition area.
ICAR-National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, Hyderabad, actively participated in the exhibition, showcasing its initiatives in agribusiness management, digital agriculture capacity building, entrepreneurial skill development, and technology-led extension innovations.
The Academy’s exhibition stall drew significant attention from visiting farmers, officials, and stakeholders for its interactive displays and knowledge outreach. In recognition of its outstanding contribution, ICAR-NAARM received the ‘Best Exhibition Stall Award-2025.’
The Mela concluded with a valedictory ceremony addressed by Shri Ajeya Kallam, IAS, Former Chief Secretary, Government of Andhra Pradesh, officials, scientists and farmer groups in making the event impactful and future-oriented.
