ICAR–National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, Hyderabad, has made its first-ever entry into the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2025 under the Management discipline, securing a place in the 101–125 band. The rankings, announced by the Ministry of Education, evaluated 1,026 participating institutions across the country.
This recognition underscores ICAR-NAARM’s growing national significance and its unique role in integrating agricultural sciences with modern management practices, particularly in the context of the agricultural sector.
Established in 1976, ICAR-NAARM was created to strengthen the capacity of India’s National Agricultural Research and Education System (NARES). Over the years, it has emerged as a pioneering institution, playing a vital role in training and capacity building of professionals across the agricultural research and education ecosystem.
A milestone in the Academy’s journey was the launch of the Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Agri-Business Management) [PGDM(ABM)] in 2009. Approved by AICTE, accredited by NBA, and recognized by AIU, the programme has consistently attracted meritorious students from across India and successfully groomed them for leadership roles in agri-business and allied industries.
With its debut in the NIRF 2025 rankings, ICAR-NAARM has further cemented its reputation as a premier institution nurturing managerial and entrepreneurial talent for the agricultural sector and beyond.
