An awareness session on the newly implemented Labour Codes was organized at ICAR–Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute, Goa, today. The programme was attended by administrative staff of the Institute and representatives of various contractors engaged with the Institute.
Dr Parveen Kumar, Director, ICAR–CCARI, addressed the participants and highlighted various novel initiatives being implemented on the Institute campus for the welfare and well-being of contractual labourers. He reiterated the Institute's commitment to ensuring compliance with labour welfare measures and assured that the provisions of the new Labour Codes would be implemented in letter and spirit.

The resource persons provided a comprehensive overview of the provisions and compliance requirements under the newly implemented Labour Codes, with special emphasis on employer obligations, employee welfare measures, statutory compliances, and labour rights. The presentation was followed by an interactive discussion during which participants raised queries and sought clarifications on various practical aspects related to the implementation of the Labour Codes. The resource persons addressed the queries and clarified the doubts raised by the participants.
The session served as a valuable platform for enhancing awareness and promoting a better understanding of labour law compliance among administrative personnel and contractor representatives.
