The ICAR-Central Institute for Women in Agriculture, Bhubaneswar, Odisha organized a Massive Tree Plantation Drive to mark the celebrations of the ICAR’s 93rd Foundation Day today.

In his inaugural address, Dr. Anil Kumar, Director, ICAR-CIWA, Bhubaneswar stressed on the need for undertaking the massive plantation to make the Institute a green campus. He also urged for striving to reduce the carbon footprints.
About 600 plants of the various species of Mango, Pesta, Jackfruit, Jamun, Custard Apple and Sapeta, etc., were planted along the roadside and the vacant plots during the occasion.
The programme organized as a part of the ICAR’s 93rd Foundation Day celebrations and “Bharat Ka Amrut Mahotsav” to commemorate 75 Years of India’s Independence registered a total participation by 80 participants including Scientific, Technical, Administrative and the Supporting Staff of the Institute.
