The ICAR-Research Complex for Eastern Region, Patna, Bihar in collaboration with the Department of Fisheries, Government of Bihar and NSPAAD Project organized a Webinar on “Ecosystem Management for Sustainable Fisheries” on the occasion of the “National Fish Farmers’ Day - 2021”  today.

In his welcome address, Dr. Ujjwal Kumar, Director, ICAR-RCER, Patna, Bihar briefed about the programme.

Webinar on “Ecosystem Management for Sustainable Fisheries” @ Bharat Ka Amrut Mahotsav  Shri Suman Kumar, Joint Director, Mithapur Research Centre, Government of Bihar highlighted the different schemes for the fish farmers under the Government of Bihar  The main objective of the programme was to apprise the fish farmers aware about the Wetland Fisheries Management Strategies.  A total of 69 farmers and Entrepreneurs participated in the programme.  The Webinar was organized as a part of the “Bharat Ka Amrut Mahotsav” to commemorate 75 Years of India’s Independence.
