Institute-Industry Interface Meet organized

The ICAR-National Institute of Natural Fibre Engineering and Technology, Kolkata organized an “Institute-Industry Interface Meet” today.

The Chief Guest, Dr. S.N. Jha, ADG (Process Engineering), ICAR emphasized on developing an Instrument for measuring a single quality index for the grading of Jute.

Dr. D.B. Shakyawar, Director, ICAR-NINFET, Kolkata briefed about the Institute’s progress in the research area of instrumentation and quality grading. He also outlined the key role played by the developed instruments in getting accurate and quicker results helping farmers to get proper price for their hard-earned crops.

Dr. A.K. Bera, Head (TXD), Bureau of Indian Standard, New Delhi appreciated the developed digital instruments by the Institute.

A total of 70 Stakeholders from Industry, Bureau of Indian Standard, NJB and other Organizations associated with Jute Quality Assessment along with the Scientists of ICAR Institute participated in the Meet.
