ICAR Short Course concludes at ICAR-CCARI, Goa

The ICAR Short Course on “Ecosystem Service Analysis in Diversified Coconut and Arecanut Gardens” organized by the ICAR-Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute, Goa from 21st February, 2022 to 2nd March, 2022 concluded today.

Delivering valedictory address, the Chief Guest, Dr. Suresh Kumar Chaudhari, Deputy Director General (Natural Resource Management), ICAR stated about the Coconut and Arecanut ecosystem services & management practices and the methods required for quantifying and evaluating the ecosystem services.

The Guest of Honor, Dr. Narendra Pratap Singh, Emeritus Scientist underlined about the Kulagar Gardens of Konkan Coast and the intricacies in studying the complex agro-ecosystem.

Dr. Parveen Kumar, Director, ICAR-CCARI, Goa outlined the way forward on the studies on ecosystem services.

The Scientists, Administrative, Finance, Technical, Supporting and Project Staff Members of the Institute participated in the Course.
