ICAR-IISS, Bhopal organizes “Krishi Mela-cum-Krishak Sangoshthi”

The ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil Science, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh in association with the Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Rajnandgaon organized the “Krishi Mela-cum-Krishak Sangoshthi” at Agriculture College and Research Institute, Surgi, Rajnandgaon District, Chhattisgarh today.

Shri Santosh Pandey, Member of Parliament, Rajnandgaon District, Chhattisgarh marked his presence as the Chief Guest along with Dr. R.N. Singh, Dean, College of Agriculture, Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Surgi and Dr. Jitendra Singh, Dean, HC&RI, Rajnandgaon as the Guests of Honor during the occasion.

Shri Komal Singh Rajput, Pradesh Adhyaksh, Kisan Morcha; Shri Raju Bhai Makhijha, Pradesh Mantri, Chamber of Commerce and Shri Daduuram Sonkar, Progressive Farmer were also present as Special Guests on the occasion.

Padma Shri, Smt. Phoolbasan Bai Yadav of Maa Bamleshwari Janhit Kare Samiti, an NGO working for the Upliftment of the Women in Chhattisgarh presided-over the event.

The dignitaries distributed the High Yielding Varieties of Rice and Red Gram to the tribal farmers.

A total of 300 Tribal Farmers participated in the Mela and Kisan Sangoshthi.
