Short course on 'Assessment of vulnerability and adaptation to climate change in agriculture' concludes at ICAR-CRIDA, Hyderabad

cirda-02-13122018.jpgA ten day short course on 'Assessment of vulnerability and adaptation to climate change in agriculture' sponsored by ICAR concluded on 7 December 2018 at ICAR-CRIDA.

In his valedictory address, Dr K.P.R. Vittal, Former Director, ICAR-National Institute of Abiotic Stress Management, Baramathi stressed the importance of understanding vulnerability to climate change at different scales from macro regional scales to micro community and household scales. Such scale-differentiated analyses would help better prioritize and target adaptation interventions, he added.

Dr. G. Ravindrachary, Director-in-charge urged the participants of the short course to apply the knowledge and skills acquired during the short course in their research and teaching efforts.

A summary report of the short course was presented by Dr C A Rama Rao, Course Director. Twenty one participants from five ICAR institutes and eight state agricultural universities participated.
