2 November 2026, Benru, Nagaland

ICAR–National Research Centre on Mithun, Medziphema, organised an awareness programme at Benru village under Khonoma, Nagaland, on the occasion of Janjatiya Gaurav Divas, in conjunction with the Khet Bachao Abhiyaan (Rabi 2026).

The programme aimed to sensitise tribal farmers to sustainable agricultural practices, with a focus on soil health management, balanced fertiliser application, natural farming and climate-resilient agriculture.

The initiative also encouraged the adoption of improved farming practices to enhance agricultural productivity and strengthen sustainable livelihoods in tribal communities.
