Vision / Mission

Vision: To be a trusted national hub for agricultural knowledge management and science communication, connecting credible research and innovation with the people and institutions that can use it.

Mission: To collect, curate, publish, preserve and disseminate authentic agricultural knowledge generated through research, education and extension using print, digital, multimedia and emerging communication technologies, while expanding access and strengthening the visibility and impact of ICAR knowledge resources.

Mandate: To collate, compile, publish and disseminate agricultural knowledge; manage information repositories and preserve ICAR knowledge assets; coordinate agricultural information dissemination nationally and internationally; serve as a knowledge centre and clearing house for research-for-development information in agriculture and allied sciences; provide literature for research, education and extension; and communicate ICAR technologies, policies and achievements through effective media and digital platforms.
