Awareness Programme and Farmer-Scientist Interaction under Khet Bachao Abhiyan at Thakurkuchi and Chandrapur, Assam

As part of the ongoing extension activities of the AICRP on Floriculture, AAU-HRS, Kahikuchi, a Khet Bachao Abhiyan was successfully conducted today at Thakurkuchi under Chandrapur Development Block, covering the ADO Circle and Satgaon Circle.

The programme witnessed the active participation of 53 farmers, including 42 male and 11 female farmers, who attended the awareness and field-level interaction programme aimed at promoting better crop management and sustainable agricultural practices.

The campaign was attended by a team of scientists, academicians, and agricultural officials who interacted with the farming community and shared technical guidance on scientific farming practices, crop protection, and sustainable agricultural development.

Officials from the Agriculture Department, also participated in the programme. The event was further supported by the presence of local representatives who encouraged farmers to adopt scientific and sustainable farming practices.
