KVK Ri Bhoi Organises Training for Farmers on Natural Farming

KVK Ri Bhoi under the ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Umiam organized a farmers’ training programme on “Natural Farming for Sustainable Agriculture” along with practical demonstrations on the preparation of Jeevamrit under the national flagship campaign “Khet Bachao Abhiyan” today in Ri Bhoi district, Meghalaya.

The programme brought together 102 farmers, including 15 men and 87 women, from Sohkhwai, Umladoh, and Umdu villages of Umling block. The training focused on building farmers’ capacity in the preparation and judicious use of natural and organic farming inputs such as Jeevamrit and Beejamrit to promote sustainable agricultural practices, improve soil health, and reduce dependence on chemical fertilizers.
