The Third Sub-Committee of the Committee of Parliament on Official Language visited the ICAR-Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute, Kochi, today.
During the visit, the delegation toured the Marine Biodiversity Museum, Marine Aquarium and Marine Megafauna Museum, which highlighted ICAR-CMFRI’s contributions to marine research, conservation and public outreach.

The delegation comprised Shri Neeraj Dangi, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), Dr Dharmsila Gupta, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), Shri Vikram Singh, Under Secretary, Shri Ram Narayan Shaw, Research Officer, and Shri Sahdev Singh, Committee Reporter.
Dr Grinson George, Director, ICAR-CMFRI, briefed the Committee on the Institute’s major activities and achievements through presentations and videos displayed at the Agricultural Technology Information Centre (ATIC).

The Committee appreciated the innovative technologies and initiatives developed by ICAR-CMFRI for the welfare and livelihood enhancement of fisherfolk communities.
