The Rashtriya Karmayogi Jan Seva Programme in consultation with Capacity Building Commission Government of India - Phase-II was successfully organised at the ICAR–Indian Institute of Rice Research, Hyderabad during 20-28 Jan 2026.
The capacity building unit of DARE/ICAR has rolled out a large scale intervention as part of the Government of India’s mission to build a future-ready, efficient, and citizen-centric workforce.

The programme witnessed active and enthusiastic participation from all cadres of the institute, including scientists, technical staff, and administrative personnel, who collectively undertook and successfully completed the workshop.
Their proactive engagement, effective facilitation, and motivational approach ensured seamless participation and sustained interest among all staff members throughout the training sessions.
The workshop provided valuable insights into professional ethics, role-based competencies, capacity building, and the principles of Karmayogi i.e. emphasizing accountability, continuous learning, and excellence in public service and creating karmayogi moments. The collective participation of scientific, technical, and administrative staff highlighted the institute’s strong commitment to institutional capacity building and alignment with national initiatives aimed at strengthening governance and service in rice sector.
