5-day training for newly recruited ICAR Assistants inaugurated

A five-day training programme (Module-II) designed for newly recruited Assistants of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) commenced today at ICAR-Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute (ICAR-CMFRI), Kochi. 

The inaugural session was graced by Shri. Sanjay Kumar Pathak, Joint Secretary (Finance), ICAR, who underscored the pivotal role of administrative personnel in supporting and advancing the research endeavours.

In his address, Shri. Pathak highlighted the significance of a nuanced understanding of ongoing research projects, scientific requirements and the importance of timely delivery.  He also emphasized the imperative to embrace and adeptly leverage emerging technologies to enhance productivity while fostering seamless synergy collaboration between scientific and administrative functions to optimize research output.

5-day training for newly recruited ICAR Assistants inaugurated

The training cohort comprises participants from eight ICAR institutes across the South Zone.  The initiative aims to bolster their competencies in research facilitation, administrative proficiency and technological integration within Institutional frameworks.

The programme was presided over by Dr. Grinson George, Director, ICAR-CMFRI, Kochi and Programme Director.

The training programme features interactive sessions and deliberations on best practices in rules & regulations of administration and finance and fostering a culture of excellence and innovation in institutional management.
