Sensitisation Workshop on Fermented Organic Manures/Liquid FOM

The ICAR-Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute (ATARI), Ludhiana, successfully organised the Sensitisation Workshop on Fermented Organic Manures (FOM)/Liquid FOM today.

The event was presided over by Dr Parvender Sheoran, Director, ICAR-ATARI, Ludhiana, Dr Ravinder Singh Grewal (DEE, GADVASU, Ludhiana), Dr Tarsem Singh Dhillon (Additional Director Extension Education, PAU, Ludhiana) and Dr Pushpinder Singh Aulakh (Former Director Horticulture, Punjab).

Dr Sheoran outlined the 2024-26 roadmap for the project, highlighting the role of KVKs in promoting FOM/LFOM and detailing its implementation methodology at KVK farms and farmers’ fields.

The technical sessions included presentations by CBG teams on the challenges and potential of FOM/LFOM in enhancing soil health and farm productivity.

A brainstorming session allowed KVK coordinators, nodal officers, and farmers to address queries related to FOM technologies.

Around 78 participants, attended the programme.
