ICAR-TNAU-KVK organises Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra

ICAR-Tamil Nadu Agricultural University-KVK, Tiruvallur organised the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra programme today at Enampakkam village, Ellapuram block, Tiruvallur district.

Shri. Sanjay Garg, Additional Secretary (DARE) and Secretary (ICAR) & State In-charge, VBSY distributed vegetable seed kits, seedlings to farm women and KCC, Mudhara loan and LPG connection to the beneficiaries.

Dr. P. P. Murugan, DEE, TNAU, Coimbatore, spoke about the role of KVK and its services for the farming community.

Dr. Shaik N. Meera, Director, Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute & State Nodal Officer, VBSY, urged the public to utilise all the schemes offered by the Central Govt of India. He further added that the role of rural youth, farmers and farm women is very important for the development of India.

Officials from Central Institute of Brakishwater Aquaculture, NABARD, Lead Bank, MFL, BPCL, FCI and Health Department spoke about their various schemes.

Drone spray was demonstrated and stalls by various Departments were installed for the benefit of the public. Calendars, brouchers, booklets, T-shirts and caps were also distributed.

Around 300 farmers, farm women and SHG members participated in the programme.
