Secretary, DARE & DG, ICAR launches the trainings for DARE/ICAR Officials under the Rashtriya Karmayogi Jan Seva Program during 14-28 May, 2025.

Dr. M.L. Jat, Secretary, DARE & DG, ICAR inaugurated the launch of Rashtriya Karmayogi Jan Seva Program for DARE/ICAR employees on 14th May, 2025.  He said that dream of Viksit Bharat as envisaged by Hon’ble Prime Minister, , India, Shri Narendra Mod ican be achieved by serving the Farmers and honestly contributing to the agricultural development in the country by all employees of ICAR.

He emphasized that among four pillars of Viksit Bharat besides focus on women, youth, farmers, skill development is one of the important component.  We should feel that Scientists, Administrative, Technical & Skilled Supporting Employees are supplementary to each other to achieve the Vision and Mission of Viksit Bharat by 2047.  

He said that we need connections with people and farmers as connectivity with heart with each other is important.

He emphasized to focus on the inner transformation of each employee of DARE/ICAR and urged that inner transformation can come only by passion and love towards work and duty by each employee.  Each employee should respect each other, that is the first step for transformation towards Karmayogi. Second step is to develop a balance between mind and heart for truthful Karmayogi. Think everyday while taking first piece of food in mouth that who is producing food and how, this food is being produced.  He earmarked that 3 Cs. Like capacity development, confidence and consensus are important for smooth transformation from Karmachari to Karmayogi.  He emphasized that Jan Seva happens with Jan Bhawna but it is led by connectivity and collective action of shared vision.  For this look at the vision and mission of DARE/ICAR and then give a shared service as a Karmayogi.

This training program provides an opportunity for team building and real happiness comes from sharing, networking and working on aims, goals and activities of organization.  He mentioned to make training program and more immersive and field based out of office site.  HRM Unit should plan for such trainings more often.

Dr. R.C. Agrawal, Deputy Director General (Ag. Edn.), ICAR, New Delhi said that both orientation and reorientation is important to connect to goals of organization and nation for good governance and high work performance efficiency.  He mentioned that this training will be a two-way process by having both learning and reflective actions.  He emphasized on change of behavioural aspects of employee to come over the day-to-day stress in era of technological advancement and artificial intelligence.  He stressed upon importance of time management for important and non-important works in office and daily activities both at workplace and life.  He gave importance to prioritize for first to first. He said to follow the concept of highest “Bhav” that is about end of goal the event/work. It is not important how much you live but how you live.  Think every moment is the last moment.  He emphasized that besides office procedures other processes of life like health, stress, social balance, self-hobbies and happy harmons are also important and related to these topics, different modules are available on IGOT platform

Dr. Shanti Kumar Sharma, Assistant Director General (HRM) & Nodal Officer of Program briefed about the purpose of program for DARE/ICAR and activities undertaken under Mission Karmayogi for all cadre employees of DARE/ICAR during the last 2 years.  He said that about 9200 plus employees are onboarded on iGOT platform.  Since 2014-15, ICAR is regularly conducting competency driven training programs for all employees of ICAR but since 2023-24, a new milestone is being setup for iGOT learning and development under Mission Karmayogi.

He said that the large scale Jan Seva Program training will run in four modules through Pedgog App. and each session will be of about 90 minutes.

In this program four Master Trainers trained by Capacity Building Commission gave training to employees about vision of Mission Karmayogi, behaviourol aspects of thinking and learning, approach of fulfillment in life, exploring and creating Karmayogi moments and large role of Karmayogi in nation building besides organizational roles and activities.

Dr A.S. Ydav , ADG (EQAR) and DR Gopal Lal , Joint Director, ICAR-NAARM, Hyderabad were present during valedictory function of the training programme.

Sh. Kumar Rajesh, Director (Education), Sh. Jayanta Das, Deputy Secretary (Law Section), Sh. Ajay Gautam, Deputy Secretary (DKMA) and Sh. Rajesh Kumar Jha, Deputy Secretary (Education Division) acted as Master Trainer in the training programs. Chingkhei Wangjam, Programme Coordinator, Capacity Building Commission Government of India facilitated the  training programme along with Mr Worris.

Dr. N.K. Jain, Principal Scientist (HRM) & Coordinator compered the program and Sh. Kumar Rajesh, Director (Education) and Jayant Das, ICAR extended vote of thanks at the end of program.
