Dr. K.S. Rao, Minister of Textiles, Government of India visited North Temperate Regional Station of Central Sheep and Wool Research Institute (CSWRI), Garsa, Distt. Kullu (Himachal Pradesh) on 26th October, 2013.
While addressing the scientists of the institute, Dr. Rao appreciated the role of scientists in development and propagation of fine wool sheep breed and Angora rabbit in the hilly region. He also visited the sheep and Angora rabbit sectors. Dr. Rao was apprised about the on-going research and development activities related to sheep and Angora rabbit at the station.
Mr. S.S. Gupta, Development Commissioner, Handy Crafts and Mr. K.K. Goyal, Executive Director, Central Wool Development Board and other dignitaries of the District Administration were also present during the visit.
