ICAR-National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI), Karnal organized Institute – Industry Meet to present its technologies to industries and entrepreneurs for commercialization. Eight other ICAR Institutes also presented their technologies to the industry. In total, about 100 technologies were presented to the industry which are ready for commercialization.
Dr. A.K. Srivastava, Director, NDRI, while inaugurating the Meet, said NDRI has made significant progress in developing the technologies and at the same time a number of technologies have been transferred to dairy industry as well to entrepreneurs. In the year 2014-15, 20 number of technologies have been transferred, while in the 2015-16, till December 17, 2015, 12 number of technologies have been transferred.
On this occasion, Dr. R.K. Malik, Joint Director (Research) said the main purpose of the Meet is to bridge the gap between Scientists and Industry.
The strip based test for detection of adulterants & pesticides in milk and rapid tests for detection of detergent, antibiotics, pathogens in milk and milk products were demonstrated.
Nestle India Ltd.; Mother Dairy, Delhi; GlaxoSmithKline; National Dairy Development Board; Modern Dairies, Karnal; Neugen Diagnostic, Secunderabad; and Madhu Dairy, Bihar participated in the Meet.
Dr. Rajan Sharma, Member Secretary, Zonal Technology Management Unit presented the vote of thanks.
