Dr. Viswajanani Sattigeri, Chairperson, CSIR-TKDL visited ICAR- ICAR-NRC for Orchids, Pakyong, Sikkim today.

Interactive Visit and Meeting on “Traditional Knowledge Digital Library Abridging Agro-biodiversity and Social Livelihood”

In his interaction with the Scientists of the institute, he said traditional knowledge is a very important IP portfolio and its digital database being the vital information repository developed by the country have a mark on the sovereign rights of its knowledge resources that have existed since time immemorial. Dr. Sattigeri talked about the evolving mechanism associated with the TKDL of India in bringing oral traditions of the agrarian country without compromising the livelihood of the custodians of this knowledge base in India.
